Claiming takes about a minute
It is free, it stays free, and there are only two questions:
- 1How are you connected to The Local Register? Owner, manager, or you work there.
- 2How can we check that? A business phone number we can ring, or an email on your own domain. We never ask for documents or card details.
Then a person reviews it — usually within a couple of days — and once verified you can correct the phone number, opening hours and website yourself.

How we check a claim
A person reads every claim. We do not verify anyone automatically, and we never treat an email address found in a public record as proof that it belongs to you. If two people claim the same business we will contact both.
Claiming lets you correct the details we hold. It does not change the official food hygiene rating, the company number, or where the information came from — those come from public registers and only the register can change them.
